He sees our faith...

Ever have those days where you think you aren’t that important?  That you just aren’t making a difference?  I do… Actually, sometimes I feel like I get stuck in those moments.
Today I want to share about a woman just like this.  An unnoticed woman in the Bible. Her name was Jehosheba. Truthfully she only mentioned twice in entire Bible.  In 2nd Kings 11 is the first time I ever ran across  her, but her story is also in 2 Chronicles 22:10-12 .  She isn’t even the main character in the story.  The story is about Athaliah, who was the mother of King Ahaziah.  Ahaziah died and the mother went on a wild rampage. If her son could not be King, there was no one who would be. She set out to kill the link of David.
The text points out she is the daughter of Kin Jehoram.  Jerosheba refuses to believe that David’s line will be annihilated. She boldly takes the infant prince, Joash, and hides him in the temple. She holds this secret for six years until Joash is ready to be the king.  Because of her unnoticed, heroic act God’s promise to the line of David was kept.
Now here is the thing for me, that I needed to remember.  God see’s our acts.  He see’s my faith, even when others don’t. He understands the bravery she had, and the faith she took in those few short verses.
Sometimes the things we do will get no recognition.  It will only be a name in passing, but that does not mean that it was not intended for a Kingdom size idea.  We should be the kind of women that are willing to risk everything for a God that is far greater than ourselves; even if we are never recognized for it.

It reminded me of the story of the Invisible Mom by Nicole Johnson that is too pretty to paraphrase, so I’m just going to leave it here:
